What is a Foundling? The Foundlings are a part of Prepare a Room Ministries. Michelle Shelfer, the author of Prepare a Room: A Path to Peace and Healing for Those Hurt by Abortion, uses her arts training to draw a child each day. She calls them Foundlings. Because the child she aborted played such an important role in her journey to peace and healing in Christ, and because she wishes to honor the victims of abortion, she draws these children as they might appear if they had lived, in the hopes that they will act as wee ambassadors of God’s grace and forgiveness to others, as her own child did for her.
